No. 108. Sacred to the memory of Ann, the wife of Christopher Downes, she departed this life May 19th, 1828, in the 25th year of her age. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.—ii Tim. iv, 7. Also, John, their son, who died in his infancy; and of Elizabeth, second wife of the above Christopher Downes, who died March 11th, 1832, in the 27th year of her age. She rests in hope of a joyful resurrection.

No. 109. Sacred to the memory of Jane, daughter of Henry and Hannah Chapman, who departed this life 12th July, 1823, in her 16th year of her age.

Fearless and calm she met her fate,
And left without a sigh those scenes below;
A band of cherubs joined her on the road,
And safe conveyed her to yon bright abode,
Where perfect spirits sweet communion hold,
And chaunt seraphic airs to harps of gold.

Also, the above Hannah Chapman, who died the 31st January, 1827, aged 54 years. The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

No. 110. Sacred to the memory of Henry Chapman, who departed this life Febry. 22nd 1842 aged 64 years; also, Jane, daughter of Henry and Ann Chapman, died Sep. 12th, 1831, in the third year of her age.

No. 111. Erected out of pure affection to the memory of Wm. Scoop, the son of Wm. and Isabella Scoop, he was once a lovely emblem of spotless innocence, but departed this life the 22nd day of June, 1808, aged 8 years; also the above Isabella Scoop, who died March 5th, 1815, aged 41 years.

No. 112. Near to his grandfather and grandmother lies interred the body of William Coates, late of Pateley Bridge, Miller. He was a loving husband, a tender parent, a friend to the poor, and beloved of all he had concern with. He died January 30th, 1776, aged 32 years.

In a vault beneath lie the remains of Ellen, the wife of Samuel Coates of Ripon, Merchant, she was the daughter of John Rothwell of the city of Chester, by Margaret, daughter of Leonard Metcalf of Brimham Hall, was born in Chester, and died at Ripon the 14th June, 1788, aged 72 years. As a wife faithful and affectionate, as a parent tender and indulgent, in the duties of life excell'd by few, she rests here regretted and mourned by
